The PBC is member of the new national structure called “National Biobank Network
Cooperative
Platform” of the call for proposals of the 2013-2016 Strategic Action in Health co-
structures PBC ordinated by the former National Biobank Network. This new structure seeks to

belongs to
promote quality biobanks and give added value to the network, mainly by means of

promoting collections having a strategic national value and improving harmoniza-
tion and quality of the samples and the associated data.

PBC is also member of the following international scientific societies:

• International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER).

• European, Middle Eastern & African Society for Biopreservation & Biobanking

(ESBB).
