Main lines of research
• Physiopathology of adrenoleukodystrophy: im- pact of oxidative stress in mitochondrial function, energetic homeostasis and proteolytic process- es, using the mouse model developed and char- acterized in our laboratory and tissues of X-ALD patients.
• Treatment of adrenoleukodystrophy: preclinical tests in the mouse model and clinical trials in pa- tients with X-ALD.
• Peroxisomal integrative genomics. Peroxisomal metabolome characterization and the organelle’s evolutive origin.
• Physiopathology of Pelizaeus Merzbacher dis- ease, metachromatic leukodystrophy and other leukodystrophies.
