Main lines of research
• Transcriptomics: Microarrays and ultra-sequenc- ing data analysis.
• Genotyping (GWAS) from both microarrays and ultra-sequencing.
• Functionalanalysisofdatafromgenomicexperi- ments from the systems biology perspective. Use of non structured functional modules such as Gene Ontology (GO) and structured such as path- ways, protein interaction networks or transcrip- tional networks.
• Development of software for the analysis and integration of genomic data. Projects Babelomics (http://www.babelomics.org), BiERapp (http:// bierapp.babelomics.org), TEAM (http://team. babelomics.org) and the database of Spanish variability.
• Systems biology approach to the study of rare diseases.
• Analysis and use of different ultra-sequencing data. In addittion to transcriptomics (RNA-seq) and variation analysis, Chip-seq, copy number variation (CNV) and other chromosome altera- tions (translocations, inversions...) are studied.
