Main lines of research

• Development and validation of CLINICAL PREDICTION RULES:
This group has been coordinator THEME COOPERATIVE RESEARCH NETWORK

03/090 for the development of methodologies for the implementation and man-
agement of knowledge in clinical practice and this node responsible for the line

of research prognostic development of clinical prediction rules.

Since 1995 develops the research methodology in prognostic studies on pre-
dictive methods and conducting projects on clinical prediction rules in cardio-

vascular diseases, oncology, rheumatology [FIS96/1809], [FIS02/0242], [P-
FIS03/248], [FIS03/0046],FIS04/019].

Participation and collaboration in the following projects:

- FIS Project PS07/0945 “Prediction of mortality in patients hospitalized for
heart failure: building predictive models.” The results are published in Cardiolo-
gy Journal “Role of biological and non biological factors in Congestive Heart Fail-
