neralitat Valenciana. We participate in many projects, and in some as Principal

Investigator (Assessing and predicting effects on water quantity and quality in
Iberian rivers (SCARCE) (CDS2009-00065), and in the Evaluation of emerging

pollutants in the Turia basin, basic research applied to environmental forensics

(CGL2011-29703-C02-02); and in others as Collaborating Investigator with other
CIBER projects (Influenza and 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine

efficacy in people aged 65 years and above (PI12/02079); Analysing and impro-
ving the degree of adequacy of surgery scheduled for abdominal aortic aneu-

rysm (PI12/02530); Identifying genetic variants in the exome associated with

type 2 diabetes (PI11/00726); Processes of proliferation, apoptosis and angioge-
nesis in risk of death, relapses and therapeutic response to colon/rectum cancer

(PI09/910).

We work with the Valencian Oncology Institute in studies into breast cancer and

diet to improve patient recovery. We also conduct studies of child obesity related
with depression and perception of health. We work in Child Health Promotion Pro-

grammes of the Valencian Community, and we collaborate with the Public Health
laboratory of the Valencian Community within the FISABIO framework.
