Highlights
During 2013 we have worked in MAPAC (Improving the appropriateness of health
care and clinical processes) projects and boosting the MAPAC committee and the

committee of Innovation in our center.

Within MAPAC projects we have participated in the project on Abdominal Aortic
Aneurysm (funded ISCIII) and the project on blood derivates transfussion (Fund-

ed by the Department of Health of the Basque Government).

Within the MAPAC committee, we evaluated nearly 300 health care practices ver-

sus the “do-not-do” NICE benchmark, and we have conducted a survey to elicit
those practices that should be evaluated in our center. Later we will proceed to

prioritizing them.

For the Innovation committee, we have established a rapid method for assessing
proposal for incorporation of technologies.
